Affordable Dentistry Options to Fix Your Smile and Boost Your Confidence

There are different elements in our life that can affect our self-confidence. One of these elements would be having an unsightly smile. Fortunately, our dentist in Winnipeg can offer you a wide selection of solutions that will fix your smile and help you reclaim your lost confidence. While some people will assume that these options are only intended for models and celebrities, you may be amazed to learn that most of these treatments are quite affordable.

Top 5 Affordable Smile Repair Options

A lot of people are conscious of their teeth and smile. In case you notice that you have been consciously avoiding showing your smile when taking a photo, you might want to consider these affordable smile repair options.

1. Tooth Contouring and Reshaping

Contouring and reshaping our teeth is a fast and painless treatment that is intended for repairing misshapen teeth. This is also an excellent option for chipped and overlapping teeth. The length, profile, and position of the teeth will be enhanced during the procedure. This will make them appear perfectly aligned and straight. Before the procedure begins, our dentist will determine first if you are a good candidate for the treatment. At our Winnipeg dental office, we will take an X-ray of your teeth which will help us determine the size and location of the dental pulp. This can ensure that you will have enough bone to support the teeth after the changes have been introduced.

2. Teeth Whitening

There are different teeth whitening products and treatment offered by your dentist in Winnipeg and some local stores. In some cases, they may provide you with results, but they are mostly inefficient. They are also not intended for everyone especially for those who have allergic reactions towards hydrogen peroxide. The chemicals included in some whitening products can irritate your gums. To reduce the risk related to teeth whitening, only seek the assistance of our licensed dental expert.

3. Dental Bonding

Bonding is one of the most cost-effective dentistry procedures. It can also last for a very long time if you take care of it properly. This dental treatment is designed to repair misshapen, broken, cracked, and chipped teeth. It is a more affordable solution than porcelain veneers. Furthermore, the procedure is fast and painless and will not require anesthesia. The amount of tooth enamel that will need to be removed is generally less than what is needed for porcelain veneers. The whole procedure will be completed during a one-time visit with our dentist in Winnipeg.

4. Aligners

Aligners are made from plastic that fits on your teeth and will push them into their appropriate positions. Aligners will be more expensive compared to other options like retainers, but they are still affordable. They can also fix dental problems that your standard retainers cannot. Your Winnipeg dentist can determine if this is something you may benefit from during a consultation.

5. Regular Check-Up

Do you know preventive dentistry is the most effective way to maintain a beautiful smile? Make sure that you implement healthy oral habits. Simple oral care can be performed in the comfort of your home. This will help prevent serious dental problems such as tooth decay and gum diseases. Be sure that you brush and floss your teeth at least two times per day. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking enough water and stay away from alcohol and tobacco. You should monitor your consumption of acidic and sugary foods as these can contribute to cavity formation. Having a healthy diet can also promote the health of your oral system. Finally, you should visit our dentist in Winnipeg at least twice per year.

Having a beautiful smile does not necessarily have to cost you an arm and a leg. There are a lot of affordable dental treatments that will enhance the aesthetics of your smile and oral health. You can also consult with your dentist in Winnipeg and ask us about personalized smile repair procedures that will fit your budget, needs, and situation. Depending upon your reason, some dental treatment will also be covered by your insurance, this means you will not have to be concerned with the expenses that you may encounter.
